Daily Activity (English Version) #2 " Last Prepared of American Latin Menu "

     On the second day of practiced, we were continued our preparation for the unfinished menu. In this morning before I started to prepared, I've been given the task to arranged the ingredients from Supplier. After that, I did the preparation to made the Appetizer menu, it's Pastel de Queijo. Same as Coxinhas that I've been prepared yesterday, Pastel de Queijo is the dish from Brazil. The procedures are similiar with special dish from Makassar, it's Jalangkote. The differents are the stuffing and the shape.

Ingredients from Supplier

     The ingredients to made the Pastel de Queijo are flour, salad oil, egg, water, salt and pepper which are the ingredients to made the dough. While the stuffing ingredients are tomato, mozarella cheese, smoked beef and oregano. When we made the dough, we've the problem with mixing dough that we used, because the mixing dough with high capacity was defevtived, so we used the mixing dough with low capacity. Because the capacity of the dough was inadequate, we chosen the manual method by kneading the dough.  Not only that, the noodle machine that we used to flatted the dough was little bit devectived, but fortunately we could resolved all problems and completed our product.

     After that, we continued to prepared 3 kind of sauces, such as Tomato Salsa, Sour Cream and Verde Fresco. Off all the sauces, I chosen to prepared the Verde Fresco. To be honest, I just found out the name of the sauce, the ingredients and the procedurs. Evidently, Verde Fresco is a kind of salsa sauce that made from green chili, salad oil, lemon juice and cilantro leaf, but the different of this sauce is made by blend.

     At 13.00 all preparations were done. Then we cleaned our worked area, and continued with calculated the Food Cost to determined the Selling Price. After that, at 17.50 we back to our each home.
